Why Autistic Tendency are good for Professionals

I told a first year in my college program that if they want to be a professional photographer they need to live and breathe it. My same advice goes to professional musicians and mathematicians. You need to do nothing but that practice if you want to create the calibre of work needed to stand out from others. You need to be obsessed. This obsession comes naturally to people on the spectrum. People with high functioning Autism/Asperger’s may need support stepping away from the art, but It sure beats not having the motivation when it comes to the arts.
