Internet and Empathetic Abstraction

The internet is the birth of globalized intimacy.  We industrialize empathy in our use of art and propaganda.  The story we tell is filtered through an abstraction of truth that is based on anti-intimacy.  This veil between the parties communicating is the temptation to use propaganda instead of art.  It gives a platform to share vast amounts of ideas that can build a story even if not true.  This same veil can help permit us to share the plot of our art without the fear of judgment. It can do many of thing to fundamentally change the relationship between truth, story, perspective, and art. These changes affect how we understand each other through the identity brands and work we put out on the internet.  To have an ethical use of brand or idea that people buy into virtually you must be transparent on what is behind that veil of empathy.  Ethical online branding means making a conscious effort to avoid denial of empathetic abstraction.

Beauty is in the Imperfection

I once told a friend that beauty is in the imperfection. It is the flaws in a friend that you can relate to as belonging. It is the physical flaws in romantic interests that make them in your league. It is the issues with the world that give life people. A good piece of art helps people see and appreciate their flaws. It gives a space for people to share an inmate moment of life passions. It shows us all where we can grow and flourish. We do this by not focusing on technical perfection however the personal expression of imperfection thought the rough greater of technique.

Why Perspective is a Vector (Had Direction not just length)

Proactive is not the sum of your ideas, however, the order in which we move from idea to idea. We all move through the world of facts. With fact, there is a corresponding idea that describes it. As we map facts in our head as ideas, we move into the realm of truths. We abstract what exists into what we believe before we even can call ideas ours. These beliefs are the foundation of our perspective. The order in which we arrange these beliefs is abstracted through perspective into our individual identity. The structure of this arrangement is what is the idea of the story.

Bipolar Disorder: Creative and Madness

I live with the Bipolar Disorder and I have been Psychotic is the past. I have been healthy for years however they want to be more creative is always there. When I become unhealthy, the first thing that happens is I become more creative; then I have more ideas, and I can think faster. I start of notice pattern that is less obvious. Being, for lack of a better word smarter, sounds amazing and is a very tempting trap. The problem is I start to see patterns that are not there. I think so fast that my mind starts to bark down. I start to lose the sense of what is a creative idea and what is a simple fact. I start to confuse imagination with observation. I start to lose a sense of what is in my head and what is in the outside world. The archetypal idea of a siren is how creativity at it extreme in my case leads to madness.

I have not had this problem of years this time of self-reflection has given me a unique perspective on creativity and perception.

The Story Described

The story is how we put context to them. We have many ideas that we all need to communicate with one another. We can communicate with logic however we use stories when the ideas are too chaotic. If you need to communicate a set of truths on how to use the world, it next to impossible to see the richness and beauty of your identity and expression in an essay. To truly see how someone and or a collective is, in relation to the world you must see inside the chose of the visionary subconscious. The way we make sense of this landscape it so gives ideas context. We give personification real faces. We give the logical void form by making a setting, and we take us through this labyrinth with a plot.

Using Creativity Understand the Chaos of Out Nature

Back in antiquity, Euclid figured out a way of describing the natural world with straight lines and flat surfaces. He used perfect domes and spheres. Euclidean geometry took chaotic abstract mathematical relationships and simplified them. We often are overwhelmed by the chose of our nature and try to ignore it. We build and the artificial world and illusion with the simple structure of basic logic. Creativity is our way of looking out of this utopian city into the real world of dynamic, loving and terrifying purpose. We can easily know what we can do. We can easily build what is most effective. The question of creativity is what questions have we not already asked. Using logic where you need creativity is as hard as trying to find the fastest way through seeming chaos. Innovation is the chaos of the natural world of creativity.

Why You Combined With Your Art is a Million Times More Effective then Propaganda

You see great art never sell. You see propaganda take like wildfire. Where is the ethical line between leading with your work and being your work? There is not one. The conflict has been categorically restated to move for looking at sales as propaganda to sales as art. You see when you make something that is logically impressive however not part of your sole that people will not see value in it.

On the contrary, if you are true enough to your identity in what you make. people that can relate even in on a subconscious level will want to

Virtual Storytelling Part 1: generational Biases in a How We use the Internet

The sustainability of societal habit has led to a collective dived in the global village as we use more and more of the planet and are increasingly connected across it. We are forced to take either a long term or short term view. The economic forces that are dominant are skewed towards short term. There is a correlation between the length of time in the political budget and the length of time the policymakers have left of this planet. The generational tension is seen in how different ages interact if technology and social norms about intimacy vs geographical connection.

This tension is expressed in how we relate to the internet. The basis of optimism and denial filters the perception of individuals in their youth were as the perception of individuals with…read more

Designing Thought 35: Art vs. Propaganda

We Use the word art in many different ways just like we use the word good; wars are fought over these words. When I say art, I do not pretend that my deflation in synonymous with fact. I define art as the following. The act of communicating ones subconscious truths can be part of the open, transparent discussion. Many people cannot communicate from such a fundamental place in the psyche. It is the moral responsibly for those that can to not overpower the communication with the power of suggestion. At the point of suggestion, art becomes propaganda. If you want to have a healthy relationship with others; be with someone instead of the illusion of them; see soul instead of it smoke; you need to make art not propaganda.

Taylorism in the Age of AI: Part 2 — The institution of thought Dancing with Technology

Taylorism was made popular in the Ford Motor Company. At the time Taylor and Ford were changing the socio-monetary structure of the time.  Taylorism was not about conforming to a century of economic and educational tradition. It was the exact opposite. Taylor Took the, at the time, the current structure of how people worked in hierarchies and stepped completely outside. He challenged the institution of thought however post Taylor it stayed stagnant. Stories are meant to morph and evolve.  The lack of growth in physical instructional structuring does do not match the impacts by…read more

Describing the Institution of Thought

The institution of thought is not the structure of an organization of sociality; It is the structure of ideas in a collective. The world of facts and essays can model how organization and sociality work. You see this in economics. The world of novels and truths look at our personal world. The institution of thought is how we organize our truths in relation to each other outside of our agreed facts. The workers in the institution of thought are the chaotic subconscious identities. These subconscious identities are expressed in ways that can only be approximated by others. The inexact relation makes the interpretation of a piece of art or propaganda the structure of the institution of thought. The institution of thought works with the logical conscious organization society. We can look at any hierarchy through the lens of the institution of thought. The higher you are in the hierarchy, the more you are expected to tell the stories that define the social group's corresponding institution of thought. Stepping outside the charted territory of social norms means that you need to come up with a story that people can buy into with their hearts. This story can be true as Shakespeare even it outside of conscious logical facts.

Designing Thought 34: Words That Wars are fought For

There are many words that we all use differently when it comes to logical thinking. Truth, love, god, the Divine, art, are examples of these. None of us are right or wrong. We all see the facts of these ideas through our lens. This lens is what I call though. The facts themselves are outside the normal realm of our mortal underrating. The search for these facts is what identity is formed from throughout life. As we go farther into ourselves in the essay to lose sight of the world that we are trying to understand. We confuse logical facts with personal truths. The world above is how we as humans understand the infinite interplay between the two.

Designing Thought 33: Propaganda, Sirens, Odysseus as a leader

Propaganda is strategic in the game of human organization. It is a siren in the sea of cooperation. Homer thus outlines homer's Odysseus as a leader. The evolution of the human lead to metacognition. We have the choice to walk the road to dreams, individual vision and natural selection. However like any dream, if you cannot wake to the physical world, you may see the nightmare of death. The sirens call is not just of myth but of the Jungian shadow.

Designing Thought 32: Fine and Applied — The Atheist's Divine

By the time you read this, I am about to go into the first class of athletics and criticism.  Feel the need to say that most of what I am writing in the Design thought this class would probably influence the project. I feel we need to learn to judge photography no based on the techniques however on identity. The fact is that I  identify with fine art over applied art as an organ of innovation and structural inspection. I may not identify as religious.  However, the idea of looking for one's relationship with the divine is something that is part of personal growth even if just as a piece of fiction and personal truth.

Taylorism in the Age of AI: Part 1 — Institutions and Hierarchies

Education in Ontario is built Classical taylorist attitudes to creativity. The policy of the Alt-Right sees economics as a pre-information view on taylorism. In my opinion, the job of an artist is to step outside of taylorism hierarchies. The collapse of hierarchies would lead only to anarchy. A functioning society then is why we should look to build new hierarchies instead of attaching them as an artist. Globalization to requires taylorism for efficiency. It also requires an invitation for progress. taylorism and invitation are a false dichotomy. Education should teach youth free thought and the ability to change the very institution they are a part of.  This use of innovation by the student body is needed to balance the political ageism of modern western democracy. We need to challenge the institution of thought.  We should not center on an institution of governing structure. The idea of challenging the institution of thought contradicts classical taylorism. However, in the age of AI, the efficacy of an institution of the governing structure is dependent on the ability of workers to innovate within the institution.

Letting go of Technique: Part 1 — The Piano Without a Musician

Let me start this post by saying I have not musical training and I am not a professional musician. I have a piano that I play just for fun. For someone how a  zero technical knowledge of music I think I can tell as story with the piano OK.  A few minutes before writing this post I sat down at my piano. I closed my eyes and had no conscious idea were my hands were. Half the time I did not know even play the cord I meant to. Surprisingly it sounded OK most of the time. By planning with my eyes closed, I let my…Read More

Designing Thought 31: You Should not go Into Art. If You are a Successful Artist, You will not Listen to Reason

When I was in grade 10, I went to the Nova Scotia Drama Fest. It a three-day acting class. The teacher told us he should tell us not go into the arts. He went on to say that if we were the type of person how would be Successful, we would do it anyway. I finished by telling us that we should not do it. At the time I planned to be a math professor. I thought of the arts as something to vent thought and something I would only do as a hobby. I thought to myself that I needed a real job that is what I thought then was my true passion. Well, life happens. I went through the hospital and started finding happiness in photography I see many people go into photography in college wanting to be… Read more

Designing Thought 30: Dreams vs Psychosis Part 2 — Psychosis

We can agree that the in no factual ground to psychosis. However, for thousands of years cultures have used it to find spiritual clarity. While I am not arguing for hallucinogenics, some people will undergo psychosis no matter we do to stay healthy. Not everyone can escape it. Psychosis is a venture into the chaotic world of unconscious natives. It does not follow the language of logic. Psychosis set fictional narratives that come from our personal identity and growth.  It is what the mind does when it is so far gone that I can not make sense of the world coherently and I would never recommend inducing it, however if you have had psychosis look into the parallels of dreams.

Designing Thought 29: Dreams vs Psychosis Part 1 — Dreams

The story between closed eyes is rich. We close our eyes, and after a glimpse of truth, we wake. This is what most people picture dreaming of being. If you dive deeper into the dream, you see the story of many novels unfold.  It is a journey through the truths of your life that you have not yet realized. Dreams can explore what is not part of our collective lives. It can be about what is us alone. Think of a vision not based on facts

Designing Thought 27: Why We Should Say the Truth not Perspective, Part 3 — The Novel

The Noval is an argument about the world that is made in a fictional setting. Bu defines the facts are wrong. The plot has details that have never happen. However, it has thems are very real and that to affect the real world.  These themes are expressed in arguments that have just as much merit as an essay. However, they are not based on logic. These arguments are based on archetypal and subliminal truths that are communicated by storytelling. The act of storytelling is not to mislead or to entertain; it is to help people look into their hearts and find their truths.  The novel look at what we understand to be… Read more
